Final Exam Master Schedule: Pullman
Block Final Exams are scheduled at the Block Finals time regardless of class time; check for Block Finals first. Changes do occur; you can check specific Final Exam times in myWSU > Manage Classes > View My Exam Schedule or on your syllabus. Final Exams are ideally assigned to the same classroom as the course unless a room change request was submitted; this is not always possible, please check with your instructor.

Exam Time Slots
The Final Exam time slot is determined by:
Block exam slot, OR
Class start time + Day of the week
The exam time is determined by credits.
Use the "3 Credit" column for sections with 1-3 credits.
Use the "4 Credit" column for sections with 4 or more credits.
Final exam times and room assignments are available in Student Center after the 30th day of instruction. The Class by Class Exam Schedule lists exam times for individual class sections.
Determining the time slot
Most final exam time slots are determined by when the class section is offered, with the exception of Block Exams. Exam times are determined by the first meeting pattern when a section has more than one meeting pattern. When in doubt, use the Class by Class Exam Schedule.
Block Exams
Block exams are mass examinations conducted for all sections of the listed course. The Block exam time overrides the single section time slot. Look at the Block Exam column first!
Example: CHEM 101, 102, 105, 106, 345, and 348 are block exams. All sections of these courses take their exam during the Block exam time in slot 34.
Class Start Time
Use the START time of the class section to determine which time slot the exam is using. The available range does not match normal class meeting patterns; it is a range the covers a variety of class start times. The class end time is not considered.
Example: MWF 8:10 class section is in time slot 41 because the class start time, 8:10am, falls within the listed range of 7:30-8:59am for slot 41.
Class Day
M, W, F: For classes offered Monday, Wednesday, and/or Friday.
Tu, Th: For classes offered Tuesday and/or Thursday.
Daily: For classes offered 4-5 days per week.
1-3 Credit Classes
Final exams are allowed 2 hours, which includes administration time.
4+ Credit Classes
Final exams are allowed 2 hours and 50 minutes, which includes administration time.
Extra time needed?
Visit the Access Center for information on receiving an accommodation for extra exam time.
Early examinations are not allowed
Final Examinations will not be rescheduled for the purpose of leaving the institution before the close of the semester (Academic Rule 79).

Department Final Exam Changes
Department Scheduler Instructions
Final Exams are assigned to the same classroom as the course unless a room change request was submitted.
Fall: requests are processed starting the first week of November.
Spring: requests are processed starting the first week of April.
Requests for Final Exam day/time changes are submitted by the Department Chair by email to schedule@wsu.edu. A new request must be submitted each semester; requests do not roll. All students must be in agreement of the change. Please include the following information:
Course Prefix(es), Number(s) and Section(s)
New Day/Time
Reason for Change
An email confirmation will be sent once the request has been processed and completed.
Submit requests for room changes in myWSU > Maintain Schedule of Classes > Exam tab > Exam Notes/Request.
Block Exams
Departments using Block Final Exam slots should be prepared to offer a make-up exam time for students who have conflicts.
If a regularly scheduled exam conflicts with a block exam, the department using block exams should make the accommodation.
